QR Payment (or QRP for short) makes cashless transactions convenient for you and your customers. Scanning the Booky QR Code gives customers three options on how to pay cashless: either by using Credit/debit card, Gcash, or Maya. But how does it work? Here's a short guide to show you the payment flow for your customers as well as what you, the merchant, should expect when your customers use QRP.
Scanning:
- Guide your customer to scan the QR Code using either their phone's camera app or using Viber after informing them the total amount to be paid. If the customer is unable to scan the QR, you can also advice the customer to go to the tinyurl link below the QR code
- After successfully scanning the QR, the customer will be redirected to the page below. Here they have two options: "Pay with Gcash" or "Pay your Bill". The Pay your bill option gives customers the choice to either pay using Credit/debit card, Gcash, or Maya
Pay with Gcash
-
- If the customer selects "Pay With Gcash", the Gcash app will open on their phone and will be directed to this page. The customer then inputs the total amount due
- After placing the payment, the customer will see their Gcash receipt. Ask the customer to press "Done" on the upper right of the screen and check the QR Payment Success Page.
- Validate the payment by then checking the Payment success page (see an example of this below. Be sure to check all the details of the payment: Total amount, date and time, and reference number. An SMS will also be sent out to both the merchant and the customer confirming the payment. Note: The primary way of validating a payment is checking the success page. Make sure to ask the customer to show this page so you can double check the payment details.
- If the customer selects "Pay With Gcash", the Gcash app will open on their phone and will be directed to this page. The customer then inputs the total amount due
Pay your Bill
Alternatively, the customer can also select the "Pay your bill" option after scanning the QR Code.
- After pressing the button, the customer will be asked for an OTP and directed to the payment page below. Here the guest can select to use either Credit/debit card, Paymaya, or Gcash to pay for the amount.
- After inputting the amount and selecting the mode of payment, it will then show the Payment Success Page. Again, make sure to double check all payment details. This will be your main way of validating a successful payment. An SMS will be sent out to both customer and merchant as well in case the customer is not able to show this page.
